Èric studied video and film production in IDEP, (Barcelona). He also studied documentary filmmaking at EICTV (San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba). MA on Documentary Cinema and Society and official MA on Cinematography, both by ESCAC (Universitat de Barcelona).
He works as a freelance cinematographer, production designer and fixer for different national and international independent productions, such as documentaries, music videos, news-gathering broadcasters and film festivals.
In 2011, he directed his first documentary. ‘Minut de glòria’ (Minute of Glory, 32′) had its premiere at the 17th Athens International Film Festival and was screened at Atlantidoc (Uruguay), Aljazeera Documentary Film Festival (Qatar) and DocsBarcelona (Catalonia). In 2017 he directed the documentary ‘Kursaal, la força de la gent’ (52′, 2017)
He’s currently directing his first feature film ‘Beirut, la vie en rose’ (75′, 2018) about the Christian elite in Beirut, Lebanon. The film, produced by Batabat and Impact.tv, is a co-production between Catalonia and Denmark.
For the last five years he has been working at film festivals such as DocsBarcelona or Manlleu Film Festival, a shortfilm festival near Barcelona. Since 2018, he’s the director of the festival.
