After studying TV and cinema production in IDEP (Barcelona) in 2008, I decided to go to Cuba to study documentary filmmaking at the EICTV film school. In 2009 I moved to Dublin for one year where I studied video editing. Two years later I took a Master of Arts in Documentary cinema and society, and in 2015 I received an scolarship to study an MA on cinematography (2016), both by ESCAC (Universitat de Barcelona).
Since 2014 until 2017, I’ve been working as a producer and fixer for the Catalonia based correspondent of PressTV, the Iranian english-spoken news broadcaster. During the last seven years, I’ve been working as head of production for different video and cinema projects, as well as cultural events and film Festivals. Since 2017 I’m the Festival director of Manlleu Film Festival, a 4 days short-film festival located one hour away from Barcelona.
I also work as a freelance cinematographer. Recently I’ve just finished my first feature film Beirut, la vie en rose (73′, 2019) premiered at the last edition of DocsBarcelona Festival and it’s being distributed by FilmsTransit International, one of the worldwide leading companies in documentary distribution.
